Congratulations to Flavio Affinito for passing his Ph.D. Qualifying Exam

Flavio’s PhD work focuses on monitoring how the interaction between nature and society is changing. His work is aimed at multiple stakeholders from academics, to the government and First Nations people. His focus is on marine ecosystems in British Columbia studying the commercial salmon fisheries in the region and how First Nations people can manage sea otters. This work will contribute to Canada’s efforts to meet its commitments under COP15.
