Andy Gonzalez selected as expert for the AHTEG on Indicators for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework

 

As 196 parties came together to agree on a Global Biodiversity Framework at the COP 15 in Montreal last December, is was also decided to establish an Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group (AHTEG) on Indicators with the aim to advise on the further operationalization of the monitoring framework.

Out of the 242 nominations received, only 45 experts from 30 parties and 15 observer organisations were selected, including Prof. Andy Gonzalez who will be representing the Group on Earth Observations Biodiversity Observation Network (GEO BON).
